ellen and portia, wedding

for my illustrated portrait class, an illustration for a mural. i decided to focus on the growing support in America for the legalization of gay marriage. to show the beauty of this reform, i chose to illustrate one of my all-time favorite lesbian couples: Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi. i've always adored Ellen, and they make just the most beautiful pair!

but i have to admit, this illustration just feels so super girly, even for me not sure if i'm quite finished, but it's not due for several more days so i'll give it some time.
